Hi I am new to this forum and need some advice. I have a 1772 that I bought used in 1994 for $3500. When I bought it I noticed that the rear end bolts had cracked the aluminum where they go into the frame. At the time I just used a welder and some angle iron and modified it to work. Now I have a leak in the rear diff and am contemplating whether I need to just fix the leak or find a whole new housing. I also wonder if it is difficult to set up ring and pinion in these. I have rebuilt a jeep rear end before.
