I fixed a weeping gas tank on my 72 with Red Cote, I bought it at O'Reilly's auto parts, about$27 for a quart, would work for a bunch of cub tanks. Put some inside the tank, shake it around to coat the interior, pour the excess out, let dry a week. Leak is permanently fixed.
Just a thought.

Red coat- good stuff! A friend used it to coat his old simplicity tank. That was 2 years ago & still holding.
