No, that is not it. There is more.
The KT needed batter + to the coil to run, then kill the power to it to shut off.
The mag, only needed to have the magneto grounded to kill it. No power required to run.
The relay kit is as simple as using the existing old power wire that ran to the coil to operate a relay. When the relay is powered, it opens the contacts. When you shut off the key, it grounds the mag and shuts down the engine.
