even though your bore checked out ok you still need to hone the block then recheck the piston fit. If you didn't hone it you get what you have. no ring seal. I don't particularly like doing those types of overhauls because you don't get the engine life out of it that you would by starting with a fresh oversize bore
now if you didn't hone it you will need to take it apart and do that. you will need new rings again and make sure you wash the block out real good
