Dumb question on breaker points
Im not to savy on these older engines lol.
I have a 1970 107 Engine code K241A
Ill give ya run down whats going on.
Hard to start.
If i spray a little shot of fluid in spark plug hole it starts right up and idles. Fuel delivery is what I thought to.
I cleaned the petcock out and the tank out so now I have a free flow of fuel. I has took carb apart and cleaned it out. The needle looks to be free of defects, and the float has no holes in it and its sitting parallel like it should. So its getting fuel. The 2 adjusting idle screws are set as follows. hi idle screw turned out 2 turns, lo idle screw is out 1 turn. So its getting fuel.
Now the electrical.
Im getting white/bluish spark at the plug.
So I checked the breaker points to see if/how it can be adjusted. I Google but didnt see anything.
All i know its supposed to be set to .020 inch. They dont look wore out. Just signs of use.
While running it down the street a bit it ran decent dont feel like its wants to accept full throttle. coming back to the shop about half throttle it backfired threw the exhaust and died. I cranked it for a bit then started up.
