Sorry Charlie...I didn't subscribe to this thread and have lost touch with it, so I missed your question. As others have mentioned, they cut the snow and mud a lot better (like the model T's tires cut through the dirt roads and snow covered roads) and their footprint (the Deestones) have a footprint that is only about 1 1/2 " x 3/4", which means less surface for friction and a lot easier turning/steering....as was already mentioned. I just got another pair mounted on my painted rims the other day. I will try to post a picture of the footprint soon if I can, but tomorrow is another 16-18hr work day so it may take a day or two. Like Merk, I got mine at a show 2/$50.
