lyme sucks. I have an exgirlfriend (still talk with her every now and then), she had it for years before it was correctly diagnosed. Her words to me about another friend going through your situation was: "If your doctor does not know lyme decease through and through, find one that does".
There have been some great advances in the past 5 years towards treating it...but not all doctors are up on the procedures or drugs used.
find a doc who is familiar with the decease and treatments, and you'll be fine.....but depending on the length of time it went unnoticed will determine whether you'll beat it and move on, or be on a daily or weekly or monthly regime of pills, and/or treatment.
