Been doing my own wrenching forever.
When I bought my first "old" cub I knew there would be maintenance that would be need so I jumped in head first. Joined up on Only Cub Cadets for some help when needed.
I do all that needs to be done, except changing tires and a total engine rebuild that I farmed out because it was something I never did before. But now knowing what I have learned and having the help of OCC members when that time comes around again, I'll be doing it myself.
Do what you can, and if it's more than you think you can handle hire someone else to do it, everyone has their specialty.
