My cousin, a third generation dairy farmer, always mounts his rain caps (flappers) facing him. (backwards) He gets a lot of flack from people that it's wrong. But when he's mowing the back swath, he never gets caught on the low hanging branches. Sometimes it pays to go against the grain.
