Trunnion rebuild looks good
Did you put a washer in front of the control plate behind the snap ring? I don't recall the thickness, but I remember doing it on my 123 way back. It takes out the slop, so to speak.
Hopefully someone with a better memory than me will chime in with the correct thickness.
