Default 442 Tiller acquisition!

Sorry guys it took me so long to get this on here... too many things going on! Anyway, I picked this up over the Thanksgiving weekend... got an excellent deal on it!!

The PO of course messed up the shaft so I managed to pull things apart and see what I have. In the process messed up the spider gear but hopefully that won't be too expensive. The question is... do I need to have the 13/8" piece of shaft welded back on the the existing shaft or is there enough shaft left that I could use what I have?
