I think he wants ski's because with nothing but the blade edge when you turn tight on gravel the corner of the blade digs in a little and you end up pushing dirty snow. my 71 leans a little and when I turn left the right corner of the blade digs in, so I have my lift bar set where I can pull it up 1 notch and it make the blade ride about 1/2" or so above a true flat surface. I think this is what he is trying to avoid, the lifting going into a corner. I just move the gravel back in the spring.
