Looks like your original starter bracket is still on there. As long as it isn't broke or cobbled you should be able to use it. As for the clutch, I agree with what several have already stated, the two steel hubs are likely stuck to the clutch disc. When you push the pedal down you should be able to wiggle either hub and see a gap between it and the disc. If they don't move I always just take a small screw driver and gently tap it between the disc and hub to free them up. And yes, once you get it working always set the parking brake when not in use to meep tbe hubs from sticking, plus its a good safety practice to always set your parking brake.
