Priority right now is getting her going smooth.
So I did the static timing and it was off. Now its dead nuts on. It will run pretty smooth at idle but as soon as you get close to half throttle or higher it spits and sputters and then catches for a few seconds then spits and sputters again until you get close to idle then runs smooth again. I turned the adjusting screws on the carb six ways from sunday back to specs and again. Still runs rich at higher idle. This was with 3 different plugs each time adjusting and adjusting and so on. Only runs smooth at idle and a little above then goes to hell.
