It's a math problem guys!

The lengths of the four tractors are 65", 66", 68", 69" and 72".

The median is the number in the middle..... 68
The mean is the mathematical average......68
The range is the span from the highest to lowest number......7

So, we know one tractor length is 72". That was given. It is the longest. So we use the range to tell us that 65" is the lowest. We know that 68 is the middle number and no two tractors are the same length.

So (65+X+68+Y+72)/5=68
65+68+72+X+Y=340
205+X+Y=340
X+Y=135

Assuming that the tractor lengths are whole numbers, and that 68 is the middle number. So, one of the lengths has to be below 68 and the other above. We can quickly decide that the two missing lengths are 66 and 69.

Cool problem! That was fun!!!
