Guess you were right! Well, we got on the road about 8:30 and I rolled into home about 4:45 (after a quick stop at the parents to help pa with his computer). When I got there, he had it waiting for me. I turned the key and boom fired right up. Took it for a spin, hydro hummed a bit louder than I had hoped but it ran great. Trunion looked like new, checked the hydro fluid and it was a bit low, saw it below the full mark and bubbles in it. We hooked up the deck to test it and I noticed right away the PTO wasn't stock. It was...well...dual I checked the engine oil and it was a bit low, but seemed to be running just fine. I did notice that when throttled up suddenly, she'd smoke a bit. Nothing drastic, but something to note. I told him straight up what I saw and thought, told him I drove 3 hours to get here, and offered less than he was asking. He accepted. I ended up walking away at $350 Loaded it on the truck and the next 3 hours of our journey commenced.

I got it home and tried to fire it up and...well...not too much happened. I charged the battery with the trusty 129 and a set of jumper cables and after about 30-45 minutes of piddling with it, I got it to start. I will say, I did check the spark plugs about 15 minutes into it and they were BBLLLAACCCKKK with a super slight hint of oil. I wire brushed them and re-installed. I peeked in the gas tank and noticed a brown hue to the fuel. Come to find out, he'd had it sitting since spring and the guy before had it sitting since...well...he didn't know when. Anywho, eventually, I got it going. Unloaded it and let it run. Before it got good and warmed up, whenever I'd give it some throttle, it'd studder real bad then rev up. Possibly fuel or fuel line? In any case, once warmed up, she ran great. I seemed to see a hint of smoke coming out the exhaust but I'll know better tomorrow.

I took a video linked below and attached some pictures. Can anyone tell me if the throttle linkage is correct? I have to have the throttle about 3/4 the way up before it leaves idle and begins to rev up. You can see this in the video, I throttle down then rev it up and when I lower it back down, it seems all the adjustment range is in the upper 1/4 to 1/3. I also show in the video a headlight connections that is apparently broken. Any idea how to fix this? And lastly in the video is a shot of the "dual" PTO". It doesn't spin with the deck hooked up.

Anyway, the throttle cables seems...wrong. Here are a few pics and a video. Let me know what you think, I'm under the impression now that it's going to be more of a project than I had hoped
