Same here on Long Island. for some reason nobody believes in Snow tires anymore. Maybe it's because most car dealers do not have cheap Steelie Rims for snows. who wants to lay out $400 a rim just for snow tires? I take the back roads to work and actually feel I get a better grip on unplowed roads over the Slick, packed Snowplowed road. I do have separate rims and snow tires. It absolutely makes a world of difference. an any car Rear wheel drive fronrt wheel drive or 4Wd.. snow tires help. Black ice.. nope all bets are off. Ice is ice
