Got the plate fixed today. Ground off the mess they called a weld. What a PITA. After I ground the old weld flat it pretty much fell apart. Looks like almost no penetration if you look closely at the first and second pics. Thing was in bad shape, I tacked it together and cut a little filler for the area that was missing. Tacked that in place then burned it in good on both sides. Ground the bottom flat. Next I'll make up an additional brace that will bolt to the bottom lip of the deck. I did pretty much the same thing on my other Haban. The card board is a template for the brace I will be adding. Of course just about at the end welding and I ran out of wire, had to make a TSC run to finish todays work. Now it's cocktail hour.
