Wow thats a story you dont here often. I bet the Cubs breathed a sigh of relief!

Guys just heard that the 86 has a problem after Kevin pressed this into service plowing snow this past few weeks it has developed a leak at the crank seal behind the PTO Well I havent looked at it yet but assume this engine will need a rebuild and the seal will be part of that process. Wasnt looking forward to that but you never know when you buy one of these units. They are old and most have done a lot of work too. That little 8 hp will still do a lot of work.
So would you guys fill it with oil and run it or not?

Also said the carb was flooding while setting. I told him to find the shut off and just close that after each use. That is I assume it has a shut off. Not being close to the tractor I had not checked for sediment bowl and shut off.

Ahhh the trials and tribulations of owning a fleet of Cubs!
