Back in the day when the good ole boys started if you didn't place you weren't paid, different now days. But it's still much more of a sport than any ball game would ever be. These ball players take a week off if they get a hang nail, where the Nascar drivers (old school) drove 400 miles with broken bones. I remember Earnhardt driving with a broken sternum.
None of these guys complain about contract negotiations. Unlike these over paid whooses who play a game. Remember in school, you went outside to play a game? Of..... football, basketball, baseball, there a game, nothing more.
Any of these so called athletes wouldn't last in a car for 200 miles let alone 500 or 600 miles. So yah, let the season begin!
What "professional" sport today isn't about the money? As I wrote, "when the good ole boys started if you didn't place you weren't paid, different now days", referring to the early years.
And making the comparison of ball players, to the drivers, or no comparison. I'm not going to beat this any further, your right, it's all about the money.
