The ol' 71 of my grandad's I'm getting ready to restore.... Like yours, has no hour meter. I'd love to know how many hours it has on it. We used it to mow, drag irrigation pipe, haul wood from the woods, spread hay seed, cultivate a garden, drag general equipment around the barn lot, and even mounted a singe row self-driven IH planter unit on it and used it to spot-plant drowned corn! The motor I'm putting together now, may be motor #4! No one can remember for sure. Obviously, came with a 7hp, blew it. Went to an 8hp, wore it out. Then (this is the part that is fuzzy for dad and g-dad) we either put another 8hp on it, and wore it out, or that may be when it got the 10hp I pulled out of it! We all know how many hours we get out of the "K" series engines. How many hours would it take to wear out 3 or 4 engines!
