Looking at those pics brought back some memories. I actually did hay with that setup one year. We had a beef calf to raise and did hay that year with an old farmall H and loader. The next year we just forked it on the wagon as the loader would no longer work. We did not use a hay hook to put the loose hay in the mow but in all other ways we did it in the old way. Hay was much better too as it held its leaves much better.
