Hard to tell from the pics but that looks like a big flywheel engine, so it won't fit between the frame rails, I don't think the oil pan will fit between them either. If it should fit between the rails the bolt pattern on the pan won't line up with the holes in the frame.
Crank is different and there will be no way to power the pto.
Then there is the whole thing about trying to get the wiring right so it will keep the battery charged.
You appear to be in New York, make the WH engine start and run setting right there on the floor, shoot a short video of it running put it on ebay, I would think that the Wheel Horse enthusiasts will go crazy over it. Let them bid it up, if it runs good and doesn't smoke, it should fetch a pretty good price.
Then use the funds to help finance a proper rebuild for the original Kohler from your 104. You will end up being much happier with it and it will last another 40 years.
