Hello all. I'm redoing (not an actual restore) of a 100 and want to see what others are using for the yellow paint. I'm sure this has been discussed but I can't find a thread on this. It seems the yellow is called federal yellow for these mid sixties cubs. Is this true? I have also seen some use school bus yellow and it seemed ok but a bit orange compared to the original yellow. This is going to be a working tractor so I'm not looking for a perfect match and I'll be using spray cans for the job I suspect. I found school bus yellow in ace hardware brand paint and krylon. They both are way too thin with very little solids. I'm testing the color on the cleaned up front axle and am not happy at all. Is spray paint just really crummy and thin these days? Anyone have a brand and color name that I should try? I would love to find the paint locally as I don't want to pay for shipping and possible hazards charge. I know the cub dealer sells paint but it is really expensive and I'm on a budget. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
