Look in the picture of the OEM tandom setup they front and back are much closer together almost touching on the center disk. If you could get yours closer together that would help, and I'm not sure the distance from rear of tractor a 3pt will be, but if it moves it closer to the tractor that will also help. I think if you get them as close as possible to each other as the factory OEM, turn them around where< faces rear tires will bring them closer together,and closer to tractor along with being mounted closer to tractor using a 3pt you may be able to use them... mock up a frame around them as also OEM picture and you probably couldn't tell them apart. I don't have a small set, but I do have a 6.5' width set if you need any close up pictures/ideas.
