Those lights are a great idea, and the location works perfectly without interfering with any attachments. I ordered a couple sets myself. Thanks for sharing.
I see in the ebay description that they are "9 watts." I think they are probably 0.9 watts. A nine watt LED in a small package like that will overheat quickly.
For those not familiar with LED lighting, a good rule of thumb when replacing incandescent lamps with LEDs is that LEDs are approx. 8-10 times brighter per watt than incandescents. That is, a 10 watt LED would be as bright as a 80-100 watt incandescent. So these three 0.9 watt LEDs would be as bright as a single 35 watt headlamp (approximately). "warm white" LEDs are less efficient than the cool white variety, and create more heat in the process. (they actually use an LED to excite a phosphor that then emits the warm white light). I think these particular lights would fall in the cool white spectrum.
