UPDATE 5:35 AM: JUST ISSUED -- Winter storm warning for Floyd, Franklin, Roanoke, Botetourt, Bedford, Rockbridge and Amherst counties, where the weather service expects many locations to receive 3-5 inches of snow this morning. This will especially be true in higher elevations along the Blue Ridge. END UPDATE

" It should be noted that it snowed on March 24-25 a year ago -- 5.5 inches at Roanoke, 4.3 at Blacksburg."
