That's what i did to mine. Got a mag 18 out of a AYP with a 1" shaft and the briggs pto bolted right to it. The briggs had breather problems,sucked in front seal and a valve spring retainer on the RIGHT side had wore some into the block. Still ran good except for puking oil. I've got 2 more of these bodys waitin for me a diesel find. I wanted that cheap one in PA too, sittin on a couple motors. Mike
