I do both for parts. I'm like Sam, I always look up my own parts. I got tired of ignorant people who don't know the difference between a spark plug and a freeze plug looking for my parts. Now, if they're wrong, it's my fault..... but even then I've had them enter the number in wrong.
I buy most of my cub parts on line. My local dealer is about 30 miles away and doesn't stock much older parts. Known him for years. Bought the 1811 off him 15 years ago! He was honest and told me I could order direct from cub and pay no more, maybe even less, than he was going to charge me. I appreciated his candor, and buy online. Still call him when I need something NOW, if he has it, I buy. Otherwise, on the net I go! Guys I've never had an issue when buying online direct from CCC. Have an account, just put the parts in the cart, click buy, and they show up in a couple days. Conformation e-mails and all necessary info along the way.
