I was at the boneyard today and found a 1050.
The Good: Good frame, perfect hood and grill, good rear tires. trans was tight with no weird sounds when turning wheels, tractor has not been completely stripped yet.
The Bad: seat and mounting bracket missing, rear fenders and steering wheel trashed by boneyard crew. carb, breather and starter missing, deck and mule drive are missing. Hiding it from my wife
I'm thinking about offering them $50 and see where it goes. I really don't need it but I do have a couple of 16hp twin engines sitting around and thought it might make a fun toy.
Any opinions on these tractors and especially how tough are the transmissions?
