I do plan to just use it most of this summer for mowing, then begin a restore before it gets too cold out. I have washed it up and it looks better.

According to the PO, it's been in there family since new between two brothers with adjacent farms and the only thing he can remember replacing on it was a RT front tire. He said it always ran great but believes it doesn't have much life left in it. I guess time will tell, but it seems to run great for now and I do notice a light puff of blue smoke when engaging the PTO but that's it. I wonder what the life expectancy of that 17hp engine is ?

It does have the older "clock" style hour meter and the best I can figure out is one time around is 600 hr and it'd been around two and a half times the best I can figure.

Are you suggesting a 782 did NOT have hydraulics from the factory ?
