Thank you Guys for your replies. I have a few jobs in the shop to get out before under taking this project. I am not interested in going the stator route, If possible it will stay battery ignition. Does anybody know if the flywheel has the indentation for the ring gear? There is no pop out for the gear starter on the shroud, so that being was there any difference in the overall dia. between the gear starter and the S/G flywheel shrouds? Thank you for your time.
