Thanks!
Yeah, I put my time in on those tractors too. Growing up, we ran (all IH) a 340, 856 and a 1066. No cab on any. Granddad decided that he wanted to have an organic farm (no chemical) so we started rotary hoeing 3 days after we planted. Did that until it was too big to hoe, then started cultivating. 6 row equipment, 500 acres. (Small farm. Not all the ground was organic. Only about 250-300 acres) Cultivated till canopy. So, we set the shovels really close to the row. 2-3mph, 4"-6" apart on the row shovels. You got REALLY good at not taking out the crop. (It's hard BTW. No guidance system.) So, yeah. BTDT too.

Our old 856 had about 11,000 hrs on it when we got rid of it. (It's actually in my shop now, because my friend Chris bought it.) Out of those hours, I estimate that I probably put 3,000 of them on. It only had about 3,000 hrs on it when I started helping. (It also had a lot of PTO time running things like a gen set, or a manure pump)
