I have an 800 with the 38a deck. I don't have an issue with clogging now, but I did previously.
Couple of things...discharge blade was duller than the others, and my deck was not level side-to-side...discharge side was lower. Once I fixed those things, no more problem. Also, make sure that the moveable shield over the exit chute isn't sitting too low. That is a rare issue, but it does happen.
