I have had problems with grass sticking at several areas under my 54 inch mower. This spring I cleaned, I mean really cleaned the whole deck and used a graphite based paint on the whole underside of the deck. Although this did not totally clear the problem it did lessen it about 80% and it does not stick and clump grass like it did before. I got the paint in a rattle can at Tractor supply.
