Hey everyone I just entered the Cub Cadet world by buying an 882. I didn't even know what I had until after I bought it. I was just looking for a durable replacement tractor for my old snapper. I did a search for a diesel garden tractor and this was what I found. It was one of the only ones less than 2k.
The tractor was inherited from the original owner/father and the guy was moving to Florida so he didn't need it anymore.
The tractor was rough but mechanically sound. When I went to see it the guy could barely get it to start. The radiator had a crack at the upper neck and there was a leak at the thermostat cover. All that helped the price drop and I knew I could fix it. The guy was not mechanical. Bottom line was he dropped his price way below what he was asking... score!!!
The tractor is rough but I'm cleaning it up and everything mechanical is fixed.
Now I'm just cosmetic stuff to fix.
