I'm still confused. If you bought another axle..... didn't it have bolts in it? Or were they missing? And, the oil level in the old axle shouldn't have been high enough to make it leak out of the top holes.
CI rear end: One set of bolts is longer than the opposite side. Book says they are 1.25" for the short side, and 2.5" on the long side.
