I'm inclined to agree with J-Mech on this one; fuel pumps going out on these 30+ year old tractors is, more or less, common. You read about it frequently here as well as on other forums. If you've got 15 82 series machines, two things: I want pics!

And you are pretty lucky. I've owned one and it died on me!

I'll say this much; you get what you pay for. I replaced one on a 682 once and went the cheap(er) route. I got a Stens from Amazon. Either I got a bad one, or they aren't very good because within a couple months, it was dead again.
