Remove the cover and take a look at them. As others have said, if there is a lever on the right side of the tunnel cover, there should be a flap under it that will press down on the valves to release them when the lever is turned.
The automatic valves are higher/longer than the manual valves meaning they have a lot more "meat" on them where a wrench would fit to unscrew 'em from the pump and stick up higher.
Someone may have swapped them out in the past so If you don't have the lever on the cover, the rig most likely was built w/auto valves. If someone replaced them w/manual valves, that may be your problem.
