The link to the service manual was very helpful. The version of the manual I downloaded (770-10227) from another web site made no mention on page 15-2 of loctite 5999 or the torque pressure. They contained different information ! A little disturbing. My 3206 only had a single transmission pan gasket so it had a slightly different transmission differential assembly than the manual called for.
I could not obtain loctite 5999 in my areaa so I chose to use Permatex Ultra Black. No leaks as of yet. Cut the grass only once. Time will tell. I also only used the Ultra Black around the the inner bearing assembly as the manually recommended. I used NO sealant around the gasket in any other area and followed the Ultra Black instructions closely. Torqued the transmission pan bolts to 100 pound-inches in a star pattern as recommended. Appreciate the help.
