Its good to know Rotella is a popular choice for a engine lubricant for our IH/CCC Cub Cadets. It would appear that the Rotella is the better buy. However, I'm stuck on the Cub Cadet low ash engine oil, or the Kohler brand. I have been using these oils and needless to say, everything is running great!

Anyone know who manufactures/ refines Cub Cadet engine oil? I thought someone once said Pennzoil did, but I'm not clear on the answer.

Also, Merk did acknowledge how nice and clean the inside of my Kohler K241 was for re-build. Well, the previous owner of that engine simply used conventional engine oil such as Valvoline, so that experience supports what has been shared with the board thus far too. I prefer to use an engine oil that is recommended for air-cooled engines in the first place.
