I bought a 105 one time that had 6-12 ags on the back and wide turfs on the front. Man did that thing look odd, I wouldn't drive/use it until I got some wider tires on the back.
I think it ended up with 8.50s on it. Looks much better that way.
FWIW, I do try to run narrow tires on the front of my Cubs (depending on what I use them for) they steer so much easier and it is my opinion that if the steering wheel turns easier, then there is less stress on steering related components and that makes these parts last longer.
