This past weekend I was able to sneak away to my cabin with my daughter. We removed the deck and tilted the tractor over and saw that the belt did come off some of the pulleys and was stuck at the top of one of the pulleys. I was able to finagle the belt off of the pulley where it was stuck and pretty easily guide it back on. Then I just looped it around the other pulley with the slack from the tension spring. It was actually really easy to fix. I have included the before and after pictures for others to review if they have the same issue.
I did notice the belt is a little frayed along the bottom but still seems to still be solid… I don’t know if that is from the belt coming in contact with a stick or of this is a sign of the belt wearing out. I assume the right thing to do is to replace the belt? Any thoughts?
Thank you to everyone who added their input, I am just happy that this time it wasn’t the transmission that went kaput!
Thank you!
