Good luck convincing the wife how much you really need a Cub. I lucked out and had both of my Cubs given to me by my dad and brother so there was no convincing required.

The teaser spring is still a available from Cub Cadet. I bought a couple of them earlier this year. The loose shifter is an easy fix if you have access to a welder. There is a cup welded to the shifter lever that breaks loose.
