Looks like I got lucky
When my Grandfather passed away a few years ago, I ended up with his lawn mower. No, it's not a Cub Cadet. It is a Homelite-Jacobsen that hadn't been used or started in quite a few years. My son wanted to bring it home and see what we could do with it.
A jump box to the battery and fresh gas got it to turn over, but no attempt to fire. So it has been sitting like that for awhile now.
After reading lots of posts on here about troubleshooting engines, rebuilding them, etc. I decided to at least see what is under the hood. Then I could look up the manuals for it and start digging into it.
So yesterday, I opened it up and scraped the dirt from the tag. Turns out it is a K341 in there. I had already printed out the manuals for the 241-341 series, so I should be good to go. Now to find the time. At least I know that there is a great deal of knowledge here on this motor, so I am sure that I will be asking questions along the way.
