I took that to mean the wire running from the stater solenoid to the S/G. Perhaps I misunderstood.
No one here was saying that the solenoid is the "bridge". However, it is..... when you are
starting the machine. Just not when it is
charging the machine.
To the OP:
Perhaps a little clarity is in order as to which wire you are referring to as the "problematic" one.
