I'll tell you all this. I don't know how old you smokers are. I'm 34. My cousin who is 47 has lung cancer and was given 18 months to live. That opened my eyes to quitting. I guess because he's a family member. His brother, my other cousin who was a sheriff in Marshall,MO died of throat cancer at roughly the same age. Left behind a wife and kids.
I'm already coughing my butt off when I'm not having one. Can't walk up the stairs in my house without being out of breathe. I'd say weight would have something to do with heavy breathing, but I'm 190lbs.
Plus, I got news from my wife that she's got a kid cooking in the oven. So, one way or another, I'm quitting. And she will too. Figure I need to be around for a good while to raise my boy <(hope it is anyway).
We can all find good reasons to quit, but the main one is our own health. And yes, I enjoy smoking.
