I agree. Had the same problem with a 129 that I was working on. Come to find out, I had the wire for the back lights jack on the regulator. Once I changed it around, problem solved. The ends look the same if it has a slider tabs on your regulator and this mistake is easily made if your wires are dirty and hard to distinguish.
