Default Lights of a different kind

OK, we have been through lights for our tractors, now help a brother out for my shop.
First, I'm looking for good screw in bulbs. That's what I have in the ceiling is eight fixtures. Used to be a guy could get good 100 watt bulbs and they seemed they would last a good while, now these new curly style things give off a weird color, and don't seem to like the cold and hot.
See in winter sometimes my shop don't have heat for a couple days, get's down to say 40* and them damn things don't last very long, and ain't cheap either. But I noticed even this summer I've been using more than should be.
Alright, you all get what I'm looking for. A good, long lasting, bright bulb....
I'm not going to change out to tube types or anything crazy, just want a good screw in bulb
