How is harvest going in you guys area? I want details! Moisture, yeilds.... It should be pretty cool to see how the different areas of the country are doing. Or maybe even some of you guys not from the US.
We started harvesting on the 27th of September, shelling corn. Started out at around 21-22% moisture. We shelled around 100 acres with the last of it at around 17%. We then tried to move to some later planted corn and the moisture shot to 30%!!
Corn that we shelled averaged around 190 bu/acre. Got ready to switch over to beans, and it set in raining. We haven't harvested since Oct 1. Been raining on and off ever since. It's so wet now, we will more than likely have to put the tracks on the combines.
